Today my friend A and I went to tango's festival with our cameras. I took this pictures in a beginers class, it was funny saw all those feets trying to follow the teachers advices. I especially like this old building where a few years ago was Harrods. Actually is closed but sometimes open for this kind of events.

I've gone salsa dancing before, but that's about the closest I've gotten. I love the warmth of these photos.
Great shots! I have never really danced tango, even though it's a very popular here in Finland.. There is even an annual tangofestival called "Tangomarkkinat" in Seinäjoki. haha. I guess though that Finns have an own version of tango which is not exactly the same than the Argentine tango. But well, I don't know much about that subject..
p.s. I just checked wikipedia and it says that "Finnish tango is an established variation of the Argentine tango and one of the most enduring and popular music forms in Finland." (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Finnish_tango)

my father, who would be now 101 years old, was a musician. a composer, and a trumpeter who played in a orchestra called Dallapé here in finland. he was a swing man, but he played tango as well. like inna said tango is very popular here. still is.
